Indications

Sterile protective ophthalmic solution capable of supporting epithelialization in cases of corneal defects, ulcers, or lesions. It supports antibiotic therapy by facilitating the elimination of bacterial biofilm thanks to the combination of lactoferrin and EDTA.

The chelating action of sodium edetate acts on the bacterial biofilm and facilitates its elimination. In this way, the action of the antibiotic is also enhanced; Sodium edetate also possesses anticollagenolytic properties.

The combination of EDTA and lactoferrin slows the degenerative process of the corneal epithelium and accelerates healing. Lactoferrin, normally present in tear fluid, binds to iron, making it inaccessible. Iron deficiency, in addition to counteracting oxidative stress, inhibits the adhesion of bacteria to the corneal surface, preventing biofilm formation.

Composition

Lactoferrin, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, N-hydroxymethylglycinate, EDTA disodium salt, isotonic buffered solution at pH 7.2.

Directions for use

Apply 1 or 2 drops in each eye 2 to 4 times a day, as prescribed by your veterinarian.
